SR1 is an organization based out of Mississippi, aiming to create equitable resources in education, housing, and healthcare for citizens in rural and marginalized areas. We partnered with this vital organization for an online CAD workshop last week. Working with Coach Kia, the lead of SR1's inaugural FTC Team, we introduced competitive robotics concepts such as leadership, team building, and sharing the load. We also delved into the many advantages of CAD, such as simulation, center of gravity, bill of materials, and measurements, to name a few.

By the end, we led a live step-by-step session, teaching the fundamentals of the rising CAD Software, OnShape. The students were thrilled to learn these skills and ready to apply them to their robotics journey. Our team is looking forward to working with SR1 again!
